Dissociative
Identity Disorder
Dissociative
identity disorder (DID), also known as multiple personality disorder, is a
mental disorder characterized by a person who has two or more separate
identities that each has their own way of thinking and relating to the world. These
identities take control over the person's behavior again and again. The person
with dissociative identity disorder may also have difficulty remembering
personal information that, like dissociative amnesia, goes beyond simple
forgetfulness.
DID is one of the
most controversial psychiatric disorders with no clear consensus regarding its
diagnosis or treatment. Dissociative symptoms range from common lapses in
attention, becoming distracted by something else and daydreaming.
Dissociative
disorders have been attributed to trauma and other forms of stress that caused
memory to separate or dissociate, but research on this hypothesis has been
characterized by poor methodology.
In my opinion I
think she might be sick but not of DID maybe she has a mental problem because
what she does on the video looks like she is acting, it doesn’t seem to be
real, anyone can act that has multiple personalities and everyone can believe
it.
Obsessive Compulsive
Disorder
Obsessive compulsive
disorder (OCD) is a disorder characterized by intrusive thoughts that produce anxiety,
fear or worry, by repetitive behaviors aimed at reducing the associated
anxiety, or by a combination of such obsessions and compulsions. Symptoms of
the disorder include excessive washing or cleaning; repeated checking, extreme
hoarding, preoccupation with sexual, violent or religious thoughts, relationship-related
obsessions, aversion to particular numbers and nervous rituals, such as opening
and closing a door a certain number of times before entering or leaving a room.
These symptoms can be time-consuming and often cause severe emotional and
financial distress. The acts of those who have OCD may appear paranoid and
potentially psychotic.
Obsessive compulsive
disorder affects children and teenagers as well as adults.
Despite the
irrational behavior, OCD is sometimes associated with above-average
intelligence. Its sufferers commonly share personality traits such as high
attention to detail, avoidance of risk, careful planning, exaggerated sense of
responsibility and a tendency to take time in making decisions.
I think this might
be the worst disorder you can have because you have to be cleaning all the things
that you touch like five times in just one hour or less than an hour, if I had
it I might be tired of that and I will look for help, I know it might be
difficult to get over that habit. The people that have this are sick and they
need help, they need to ask for help because if they do it all alone they would
never can get over it because they won’t leave that habit they have of cleaning
all the things.
Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder is
a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a category of mood disorders defined by
the presence of one or more episodes of abnormally elevated energy levels,
cognition, and mood with or without one or more depressive episodes. The
elevated moods are clinically referred to as mania. Individuals who experience
manic episodes also commonly experience depressive episodes or symptoms, or a
mixed state in which features of both mania and depression are present at the
same time. Severe manic episodes can sometimes lead to such psychotic symptoms
as delusions and hallucinations.
The beginning of
full symptoms generally appears in teenagers or young adults. Diagnosis is
based on the person's self-reported experiences, as well as observed behavior. In
some cases, it can be a devastating long-lasting disorder. In others, it has
also been associated with creativity, goal striving, and positive achievements.
Bipolar disorder is
often treated with mood stabilizing medications and sometimes other psychiatric
drugs. These cases generally involve severe manic episodes with dangerous
behavior or depressive episodes with suicidal ideation. People with bipolar
disorder exhibiting psychotic symptoms can sometimes be misdiagnosed as having
schizophrenia, another, different, serious mental illness.
